
ABOUT NPHS MOCK TRIAL
More than a club, more than a class; it's MOCK TRIAL! Learn about the judicial system, improve your analytical abilities and communication skills. work with real attorneys and professionals.
NPHS Mock Trial is a competitive club that meets on Monday afternoons from 3:15 to 4:45 in Ms. O'Neill's room, C-4, and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00, virtually. Meeting dates vary to accommodate school holidays. The trial is a hypothetical criminal case. Class includes learning about the judicial system, constitutional law, studying the case and applying knowledge and skill to representing the defendant or the People.
Teams scrimmage other schools on weekends and some evenings and participate in out-of-town tournaments.
Interested students can learn more by attending meetings and preparing to try out for roles.
